Dearest Ruby,
The “IWVPA Bronze Helmet Top Poet Award of Excellence” cannot be obtained by application. One award will be made each month to a poet who has writing(s) published on the IWVPA website. Members of the IWVPA Club may make recommendations of writers who, in their opinion, have achieved the standard required to be named "Top Poet" for any given month. Although the final decision as to the recipient rests with the IWVPA Webmaster, the Award is made on behalf of all member of the IWVPA Club.
I and the members of the IWVPA have, for almost 6 years, been impressed with your all your writings, particularly those that are war/veteran related. In fact, if memory serves me, you wrote your first poem ever as a member of the club, and one, "Who Will Cry for the Soldiers" was used as the them for our second anthology. Although it's been some time since I received a submission from you, your poems have resulted in great personal pleasure for me, and your friendship has never wavered. The high quality of your writings has led me to declare you to be the recipient of the IWVPA Bronze Helmet Top Poet Award of Excellence for October 2006.
I’ve taken the liberty of attaching the award graphic to your IWVPA Index page
If you would like to learn a little more about the reason and value of the award, please visit the IWVPA Website's Bronze Helmet Award Guidelines at http://iwvpa. net/awards/ bha.php.
Congratulations Ruby; your name is the fifteenth of many worthy recipients that have been and will, over time, be included on the Honour Roll of IWVPA Bronze Helmet Top Poet Award of Excellence Award.
Sincere regards, my dear friend
Tony
